Rachel has amassed considerable expertise in the real estate and hospitality worlds in recent years, thanks largely to collaborations with Rockwell Group, The Seventh Art and Pentagram. Rachel works closely with her clients to craft brand identities and copy that encapsulates the essence of the project, working directly with developers, brokers, investors and creative teams on everything from project tag lines, building signage and teaser sites to full web sites, brochures and collateral. Recent projects and collaborators include 520 Park Avenue, 20 East End Avenue, Conrad New York, Oosten and Seven Harrison for The Seventh Art, Nobu Hotel and Renaissance Hotels for Rockwell Group, Nizuc for Carbone Smolan and 180 Water for Pentagram.
FASHION + DESIGN + ARCHITECTURE
Rachel has worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion, design and architecture worlds to help brand their companies and projects. She has created everything from web sites, style guides and product copy to in-store branding, e-mail blasts, hang tags and brochures for companies and firms including Gucci, Coach, Mucca Design, Juicy Couture, FdM:Architecture, Pentagram and House of Creed.
TECH + MEDIA + PUBLISHING
Rachel has worked with some of the leading names in technology, media and publishing today. For Instagram, she provides content that helps users discover exciting accounts through both @instagram and @instagramforbusiness. She has also helped launch two groundbreaking TV networks, Oxygen and National Geographic Channel, created on-air promo scripts for Sundance Channel and Nickelodeon, written special advertising sections for Condé Nast Publications and concepted and edited a customized, 32-page magazine for Nickelodeon called The N-Zine.
Rachel combines a love of all things culinary with a bent toward branding to create web sites, brochures and packaging copy for some of the most exciting restaurants, culinary schools and food professionals. She helped draw in new students to the Internataional Culinary Center through inspiring content and interviews, and was brought in by renowned design firm Mucca to create the words for the Casa Lever and Patroon web sites. Frankies Spuntino Group looked to Rachel to reinvent its corporate web site and food product labels. Working with designer Carla Frank, Rachel created words to accompany Francesco Tonelli’s stunning food photography for a promotional brochure.
ADVERTISING + BRANDING
Rachel has collaborated with branding and advertising agencies to help position clients in a variety of categories, from consumer packaged goods to banking to non-profit. Working relationships with Wolff Olins, FutureBrand and Deutsch Advertising have yielded work for clients including Snapple, WAMU, Bank of America and Disney. Rachel has also helped agencies including CBX, Studio Red and The Seventh Art brand themselves (the hardest task!) through impactful promotional pieces, web site copy and related brand articles.
Rachel launched her career at the 92nd Street Y, and as such her heart is always close to non-profit causes. Rachel has written brochures, magazines, annual reports, invitations and web sites for organizations including the Chinatown Business Improvement District, The Princess Grace Foundation, Pfizer Foundation, the Whitney Museum, WorldStudio Foundation and AIGA. She uses an honest voice and smart dialogue to convey the pertinent messaging of each of her clients.
